The next performances of The Ballad of Baby Doe are scheduled to take place in Orlando, Florida at the end of April. Douglas Moore’s rarely-performed Pulitzer Prize-winning opera Giants in the Earth, will get a rare hearing in late April in South Dakota. The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra will revive the opera inspired by Ole Edvart Rølvaag's epic novel about Norwegian settlers of the Dakota Territory in 1873. It will be staged with imagery, costumes, and sung in English. Find out more about the opera here.
